Like most incontinence sites, this revolves around urinary incontinece. There are milions of us with bowel leakage. This is one of the most hidden forms of incontinence out there. I'm one that has fought this for 20 years. I'm an active adult that likes to play sports. A tumor was found in a bad location and had to be removed. The result was bowel leakage. It wasn't bad and simple pads worked. It wasn't long after I had my first ulcerative colitis flair. Thousands of colitis adults have the same problems I have. If your not close to a bathroom and accident can happen. Many of us wear diapers for protection. Unlike urinary, a brief must be changed fast to prevent skin damage. Most products are geared to absorb and anyone that has had a bowel accident knows it doesn't absorb. Coverage is most important. Tall leak guards and a brief the covers your rear rather than pull up snug between your legs. The more the products become thinner and less noticable, the more they leak. Some day, I hope, someone will take a step back and look at how briefs handle bowel issues. I hope some day there is a support group for those that fight the fight I do every day.
