Adult Disposible Diapers 101
Bladder leakage or incontinence is a challenge for individuals, both male and female, who have to deal with the stress of managing this condition and trying to not let the condition control their life choices. While there are several solutions to this condition, many are very expensive such as medicine or surgery, a lot of people choose to use an adult incontinence product, like an adult disposable diaper.
An adult disposable diaper is constructed using a double layer of water-proof material (polyethylene), an absorbent synthetic material with a liner that is water repellent. Adult incontinence disposable diapers come in all sizes and variety, from light days to heavy and from simple pads to full on pull up style undergarments. There is a style to fit every lifestyle and situation. Your personal choice should reflect what type of continence you have, your income level, your comfort level and of course the level of protection you need to regain your confidence.
The first step is to try a disposable adult incontinence diaper in a home environment in order to access how valuable they are to regaining your independence. Wetting episodes can no longer slow you down and yield those uncomfortable and awkward consequences. The fear of an accidence happening while out in public has subsided as you realized that your pants, underwear and car seat remained dry throughout the day. This realization is the first step to trust the adult disposable diapers and take back your life. You have taken control back over and made incontinence take a back seat, a disposable adult diaper was just the tool you needs to change your life.
There is a major difference between Attends or Depends, nationwide brands, verses the thin cheaper store brands. And yet a large difference between Attends and Depends and the premium diaper that are now on the market. Taking this step to wear a disposable adult diaper is so much easier if you go with quality. Quality does also mean less changes as well. If you chose a store brand you will probably use more of them because they are unable to handle the same capacity. The thin store brands do not offer the same security that Attends or Depends can offer you. If you do decide to go that route, please do so in the privacy of your home in order to determine their potential for leaks and embarrassing accidents. You want to feel safe and completely trust your adult disposable diaper when out in the world.

I wear diapers 24\7 because of incontinence and I like prevail pm diapers, they work well for me.
I’m 37 yrs old and I still wet my pants and I still wear diapers from time to time. Why there’s still a stigma associated with diapers is beyond me.
i’m 26 and have a over active bladder and wet the bed somtimes and have all my life and wear adult diapers to bed and pads in the day and its beyond my control.
Unfortunately diapers have stigmas associated with them. However – I say what’s worse – a clear accident that everyone notices or a diaper that very few notice or suspect. I no longer mind being diapered. I concur with OP that store brand diapers are insufficient. Perhaps an increase in diapered adults will bring better availability of products. Although I will likely always be hesitant to being diapered with anything but Abena’s.
I’m in my 40s, been wearing adult diapers 26 years. Tried many different brands and spent a lot of money only to be disappointed. Three years ago I ordered a trial size package of Bambino diapers. Now these are what a diaper SHOULD be! Because they’re thick, they’re absorbent. Because they’re absorbent, they don’t leak! You can wear a thin, discrete diaper that leaks or a thick diaper that doesn’t leak. Seems to me wet pants might be a little more noticeable than some extra padding inside your pants. It’s a no brainer for me! Bambino diapers are definitely #1, won’t even consider another brand.
I have an over badder and I wear diaper all time I donot wet my pants and the bed so I wear than day and night so the not the bad
I’ve worn diapers for most of my life… with having the embarrassment of wearing cloth diapers and plastic pants to school and then eventually high school, because at that time, disposables didn’t come to until I was in college. Disposable diapers are a lifesaver for me and I’m diapered day and night. Most people have no clue that I wear diapers and if they did notice,,, they normally don’t say anything. Since the introduction of adult disposable diapers… my cloth diapers are pretty much a thing of the past. It’s hard to wear cloth diapers and plastic pants during the daytime without them being noticeable. My diaper of choice is the Secure X-Plus… I don’t have to worry about changing my diaper throughout the day… but the longer I wear them and the wetter it gets, the bulge does seem to be more obvious… but I’d rather be diapered than wet my pants in public any day.
I have no control of my bladder or bowels at all…I have been diapered my whole life and i unfortunately had to have my arms amputated at my elbows so i can no longer Change myself
